Help Us Rebuild After the Fire

On June 29th, a fire destroyed our shop on Mason Bay Road — and we need your help to get back on our feet.

For 38 years, Hubbard Rake Co. has built aluminum blueberry rakes and harvesting tools right here in Jonesport, Maine. Ike and our small team have designed and repaired the tools that rakers across the region depend on every harvest season — often building custom solutions to solve real problems for the people who grow things.

On June 29th, a devastating fire tore through our shop. We lost welding stations, custom-modified machines refined over decades, aluminum stock, finished inventory, and nearly $8,000 in completed orders that were ready to ship for this year's harvest.

We did not have insurance coverage for the shop, which means rebuilding depends entirely on the community we've served for almost four decades.

How the funds are used

Right now, we're raising money in two phases:

  • Phase 1 — $25,000: Emergency wages for our team, cleanup, salvage assessment, and immediate fire-related losses.

  • Phase 2 — $35,000–$40,000: Rebuilding the shop structure itself and replacing the equipment we lost.

Call to action

Every contribution brings us closer to reopening and getting back to making the tools this region's blueberry growers count on.

Thank you for standing with us — and with Ike — as we rebuild.
